RALEIGH – Jennifer Nunn of Goldsboro took a chance on a $3 Powerball ticket and won a $100,000 prize in Wednesday’s drawing.

Salem, Ore. – When a retired truck driver purchased $10 in Powerball tickets on a whim during the record jackpot run up, little did he know he would be one number away from winning billions. 

Brooks Keebey of Salem knew something was up when he scanned his ticket at a local store and it told him to see customer service. He then learned the ticket he purchased on November 7, 2022 was worth $1 million.

While a Kentucky Lottery player didn’t claim the world’s largest lottery jackpot, a lucky player from Symsonia, KY is still cashing in the largest prize won from Saturday night’s drawing.

Rickie Melton’s winning ticket matched the five white ball numbers but not the Powerball number to win the game’s second prize of $1 million.  He added the Power Play option to the ticket, an additional dollar per play, doubling the prize to $2 million.
